Les Poochs Doodle Brushes FAQ

Is the single or wide brush better for my doodle?

For Doodles 40 lbs. and up, we recommend the Wide brush as it covers more area, reducing brushing time by up to 50%. This is especially helpful for larger doodles with dense, curly coats that require frequent grooming.

For smaller doodles or for precision grooming, we recommend the Single brush. Some owners of larger doodles still prefer the Single brush because it allows for better maneuverability in tight areas, such as behind the ears, under the legs, and around the face.

Still not sure? Both sizes offer the same professional-quality brushing experience, so it ultimately comes down to your doodle’s size, coat type, and your personal preference!

Can the single sized brush be used on doodles over 40 lbs?

Absolutely! The wide brushes will cut your total brush time in half on larger dogs, but the single size brushes can be used if you prefer. The single size brushes are great for getting into smaller spots like behind the ears, neck and tail.

How do I use the Les Pooch brushes?

Take long or short strokes from neck to midway or tail. You can apply firm pressure to remove hair without hurting your dog because of the therapeutically rounded bristles and the flexible head. You can also hold the coat up in areas and section brush, which is especially effective when deshedding.

What are the sizes of the brushes?

The single brushes are about 2 inches wide, and the wide brushes are about 4 inches wide. They are roughly 8 inches in length.
